Thomas Wolfe Fiction PrizeNY competition

Open to: open to all writers regardless of geographical location or prior publication.
Theme: None
Accepts: an unpublished fiction manuscript – short story or self-contained novel excerpt
Size: not to exceed 3,000 words
Entry Fee: US$15 for NCWN members, US$25 for non-members.
Prize: winner receives US $1,000 and possible publication in The Thomas Wolfe Review.

Black&Write
black&write! Writing Fellowships
Closing Date: 1/2/2021
Open to: all writers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent currently living in Australia
Theme: None
Accepts: adult fiction, young adult fiction, short story collection, poetry collection and children’s book manuscripts

Prize: Two winners will each receive $10,000 prize money, manuscript development with black&write! and publication opportunity with Hachette Australia

Fourth Voices of Women Monologue Competition
Closing Date: 2/2/2021entanglement
Open to: All women and young women living in Australia and in the United States are welcome to enter (over 16 years of age).
Theme: Entanglement – What is this world in which we are entangled?
Accepts: Unpublished short monologues and narratives written in the first person
Size: 800 words maximum
Entry Fee: $15
Prize: Winning entries receive $100 and the stories will be presented by professional actors in live and filmed performances around International Women’s Day and Month (March 2021) and other events.
